Young women who participate in the Luce Center’s one-of-a-kind internship program receive one-on-one mentorship, exclusive access to events, and personalized training to help them become strong conservative leaders—while building lasting connections through our nationwide network of conservative women.

More than just a résumé builder, this paid, in-person internship in the D.C. area immerses young women in a culture that celebrates truth, excellence, and personal responsibility. Interns are invited to think deeply about what it means to be a conservative woman today—and how to live that out with confidence and integrity.
Throughout the program, participants engage with leading thinkers, take part in meaningful conversations, and develop habits of professionalism, grace, and courage that serve them well beyond the internship.
As interns pursue opportunities beyond their internship, the Luce Center offers personalized support by connecting them with our national network of conservatives, advising them on additional internships and career opportunities, and providing letters of recommendation.
For many, the friendships, mentorship, and clarity of purpose gained during this time become a defining chapter in their journey as conservative leaders.

Summer Internships
The Luce Center’s paid, in-person internship is unlike any other program in the D.C. area. This internship is focused on personal and professional growth, virtue, mentorship, and camaraderie. Throughout the summer, interns contribute meaningfully to key projects in events, social media, programs, development, and more. In addition to gaining firsthand experience in every aspect of running a mission-driven non-profit organization, interns participate in seminars and experiences they would be unlikely to receive anywhere else. Some of these include:

· Etiquette with Lynn Williams
Additional highlights include assisting with the coordination of our Washington, D.C. Summit and monthly Conservative Network Events; attending networking events with professionals at leading institutions; touring Washington, D.C.; receiving training in self-defense and firearms safety; and attending cultural events in the D.C. area.
Interns are invited to think deeply about what it means to be a conservative woman today while they engage with conservative leaders, participate in meaningful conversations, and develop habits of professionalism. Interns will participate in a book club led by Luce Center President Kimberly Begg. Book selections include Erika Bachiochi’s The Rights of Women: Reclaiming a Lost Vision and Andrew Abela’s Super Habits.
By participating in the Luce Center internship, interns also become a part of our growing national network of conservatives. Throughout the summer, interns receive mentorship from Luce Center staff, speakers, seminar leaders, and more. All interns will also receive professional headshots, assistance with resumes, and reviews of their LinkedIn profiles. Upon completion of the internship, Luce Center staff regularly provide letters of recommendation and serve as references for future opportunities.
For many young women, the Luce Center internship is far more than a summer work experience. The friendships, mentorship, ideas, experiences, and habits they develop continue to shape them long after the summer ends—giving them greater confidence in who they are, clarity about what they believe, and the courage to lead with conviction in their families, professions, communities, and beyond.
Fall & Spring Internships
Our semester internships offer college and high school women the chance to gain hands-on experience while growing intellectually, professionally, and personally in a mission-driven environment. Offered part-time and in-person during the academic year, the program is ideal for students in the D.C. area who are eager to take on real responsibility while continuing their studies.
Each semester, young women contribute to meaningful projects that advance our mission—helping to plan events, manage social media, and assist with fundraising and programmatic initiatives. They also receive mentorship tailored to their individual strengths, interests, and long-term goals.
In addition to their daily responsibilities, young women are invited to attend special events at the Luce Center—including Conservative Network luncheons and evening receptions—where they connect with influential leaders and fellow conservatives.
Our semester interns are valued members of the team. By working alongside our experienced staff, they grow more confident in their convictions, gain practical skills to pursue their goals, and build lasting connections through the Luce Center’s nationwide network of principled, conservative women leaders.

Our summer internship program is only open to students who have completed at least one semester of college.
While priority is given to current students, we encourage recent graduates to apply for our summer, fall, and spring internship programs.
Yes. We’re happy to work with your high school or university to provide documentation about our program and assist with any requirements they may have for awarding academic credit. Just let us know what your school needs. We’re here to help.
Summer interns receive a stipend of $1,800 per month. Fall and spring interns receive a stipend determined during hiring.
All of our internships are fully in-person.
Our summer internship is a full-time, 10-week program that offers an intensive and immersive experience. Interns participate in a packed schedule of daytime and evening activities, both in and out of the office, which includes our Washington, D.C. Summit and several Conservative Network Events. It’s a fast-paced, high-impact program designed for young women ready to be fully engaged.
The fall and spring internships are part-time and can be customized to accommodate academic schedules, offering flexibility for students during the school year while still providing meaningful opportunities for mentorship and professional growth.
You should expect to hear from a staff member within one week of applying for the program.
While not necessary, a car is highly recommended for ease of transportation.
